Understand that the word riches is not only used to defined an individual’s financial’s worth. It is also used to define or to describe the individuals qualities. For example, when one says a rich soil, it means that it is very productive and capable of giving farmers a huge harvests. It may also mean that the soil has a high concentration of minerals and other precious metals or stones.

      When talking about riches in terms of material possessions, some say that a rich man’s riches are only good while they last whereas wealthy individuals will usually last longer because they possess the right knowledge on how to sustain it and multiply it to make it last.

     One can become rich suddenly either through winning a lottery or gambling, but can also easily lose it if he has no knowledge on how to maintain it.

In summary- wealth is the state of having abundance of material possession and money while to be rich is the state of having a huge amount of money in one’s possession and of living a privileged life.

       THE WEALTHY AND THE RICH ARE TO APPRECIATE WHAT THEY POSSESS AS A BLESSING FROM GOD

     God is glorified when the  wealthy sees his wealth as a gift from God to him and uses it in ways that glorify God. He is glorified when the rich see his riches as a blessing from him and trust him for directions on how to use his riches.

    In Luke 18:18-25, we read the story of the young ruler who stewed his thinking and blocked his union with Christ, but Lydia a dealer in expensive purple cloth (Acts 16:14) worshipped the lord with an open heart and was baptized in the Holy Spirit.
